At Speedway, we work hard to minimize our environmental impact, so we are happy to announce that with the installation of an upgraded CTP (computer-to-plate) system, we are able to close down the last vestige of old style plate making – our film processor.
Where we used to create film layers in order to burn plates (one for each color), we have now switched completely to our PressTek Dimension 425, which creates plates directly from digital files. This technology is chemistry-free, eliminating all film and plate chemicals. Your digital files are rendered onto recyclable aluminum plates, which we wash only with water.
It’s just one more way that Speedway Digital Printing strives to do the best job possible for our customers and for our environment.
